Colombian researcher weaving wor(l)ds in Northern California. His work and practice are situated at the intersection of the environmental humanities and technoscience studies. Alejandro studied Political Science and Cultural Studies at Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia). He also holds an MA in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies at the University of California, Davis. He is the founder of Humanidades Ambientales, an online collective that fosters dialogues about environmental thinking across the Americas. From March to November 2024, Alejandro will be a visiting scholar at the University of London’s School of Advanced Study. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, sipping coffee, writing speculative games, and learning how to draw.
